You now have Ubuntu 12.04 Desktop edition installed and ready to go!
There are many resources online that can help you to use Ubuntu, and indeed all the flavours of Linux so now it’s time for you to start on that learning curve and start to feel your way around. Most importantly don’t be scared of it. Until you actually start to save information on it there’s not much harm you can do. As it takes a very small amount of time to reinstall and start again you can experiment to your heart’s content.
Tip: If you choose to install Ubuntu inside a virtual machine using something like VirtualBox, you have the ability to undo changes made to the disk, so any disastrous experiments can be easily reversed.
Requests for articles on how to do specific things with it are welcome. I’ll try to answer with slightly less technical answers than you can find elsewhere!
